Made by JEMA Holland in the late 1950s and given as a wedding gift around 1960, the pair has a lovely history as well as plenty of presence.

The pearly lustre glaze catches the light beautifully, with smoky grey, soft pink and subtle green bringing out the feathers and expressive faces. We especially love the contrast between the tall, elegant No. 177 and the wonderfully showy fan-tailed No. 179. Displayed together, they make a striking piece of genuine mid-century décor.

Both birds retain their original JEMA Ware Made in Holland foil labels, with impressed model numbers underneath.

Size:
No. 177 approx. 23cm tall x 21cm wide;
No. 179 approx. 21cm tall x 21cm wide.

Condition: Very good vintage condition overall.
