Size Guide
Ahh measurements. Everybody's favourite! To ensure you receive styles that are just the kind of fit you like, please take a moment to measure yourself and then use the measurements below as a guide to select the correct garment size for you.
Or lay your own similar garment flat and compare it to measurements in the item's description if stated there (such as many of our t-shirts).
- Use your exact measurements when selecting your size
- Keep the tape firm, but not tight
- Measure over under garment
- Ask someone to help you take the measurement
DRESS OR SHIRT LENGTH: Run your measuring tape from the back center of the neck to the hem or longest point.
BUST: Measure around the fullest part of your bust and across the shoulder blades. Note where specified in our charts we have measured from one underarm to the other.
WAIST: Measure around the natural waistline keeping tape comfortably loose. Don't breathe in until you go blue. We know you ate cake. Be proud.
HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of the seat.

THINGS TO NOTE
We are committed to ensuring that every style corresponds as closely as possible to our Size Charts. Please be aware that certain fabrics may have more give in their makeup than others, for example elastane, lycra, spandex and similar.
Others such as cottons and especially cotton drills with no stretch, will result in more fitted garments. Our size charts are a guide only and garments may vary on occasion by a few centimeters here or there.
Some of our garments including Planet Retro Originals batwing style tops and cape coats are a one-size-suits-many garment. These are designed to drape well to suit many shapes and sizes.

How Do I Make An Order?
Just click on the product of your choice, add it to your cart. This will take you to your shopping cart where quantities can also be changed. Then click 'checkout' to fill out your shipping and payment details. Either enter your credit card details to pay for your chosen items or we also offer other payment options.
How Much Does Shipping Cost?
Your shipping rate is displayed at checkout. Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight and size of items and your geographical location. Deliveries are sent with no signature required.
Depending on the carrier, parcels will be delivered in the next 2-4 working days to addresses in the main metro areas of both North and South Islands. For smaller centres allow another working day for delivery.
Residential and Rural deliveries (RD) can take up to an extra 24 to 72 hours as some carriers pass their parcels onto RD contractors who then make the delivery. Delivery will be deemed to have been made when the goods arrive at the delivery point agreed with you.
Please ensure the delivery address and receiver’s name for your order is accurate and complete (including any business name if shipping to a work address) as we may be unable to change these details once the order has been placed.
We will not take responsibility for any orders that go missing due to incorrect delivery information provided by you.
How Long Does An Order Take To Arrive?
Most orders take 2-4 days nationwide, with rural and South Island orders usually taking an extra day.
Once an order leaves our warehouse, carrier shipping delays may occur due to factors outside our control. We, unfortunately, can’t control how quickly an order arrives once it has left our warehouse. Contacting the carrier is the best way to get more insight into your package’s location and estimated delivery date.

Which Payment Methods Do You Accept?
Planet Retro accepts the following payment methods for online purchases:

Please note that your billing address must match the address on your credit card statement.
How Can I Track My Order?
Once you place your order online, you will be able to see the details of the purchase, follow its preparation, and see shipping updates in the My Account area.
Can I Return My Items?
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Please contact us to see if you are eligible for a return or refund.
We do not currently offer free returns to overseas customers. You will therefore need to cover all costs of returning any items to us yourself. We advise that you mark your package ‘returned goods’ to avoid further duties. Remember: We strongly recommend that you return any items via a registered trackable service and obtain and retain proof of posting as we do not accept responsibility for items that fail to arrive with us.
